Jetour T2 FOB vs CIF Quotes: Compare the Full Scope

Compare T2 FOB and CIF quotations by the same accepted vehicle, named places and included responsibilities, not two unexplained totals. A trade-term label does not establish complete local readiness or appropriate insurance. Extended bodies, roof equipment and plug-in systems need their own carrier information. Obtain professional confirmation of the actual arrangement before treating a freight quote as a complete purchasing or delivery answer.

Put the same accepted configuration in both quotations

Record VIN, body, production, propulsion, steering and included accessories. Use the purchase equipment schedule to keep the delivered configuration explicit. A stock ordinary petrol car is not equivalent to an extended or heavily equipped candidate, even when both are described as T2. Name inspection and preparation already accepted and work still pending. If the seller replaces a vehicle, refresh the movement assumptions rather than carry forward freight for the first VIN. A global SUV price or a representative photo cannot establish the actual dimensions, system declarations and included equipment the carrier will handle.

Specify the named place and full trade-term wording

Ask for the applicable term, named port or place and agreed edition of Incoterms where used. FOB and CIF concern maritime arrangements; responsible freight and contract professionals should confirm whether the proposed wording suits the actual container or multimodal movement. The China export file separates operational and documentary stages. Do not assume three letters in a message settle every payment, ownership, inspection or dispute issue. Those need the actual agreement and appropriate advice. Preserve which parties are responsible at each stage instead of treating a familiar abbreviation as proof that two suppliers include identical services or allocate risk identically.

Itemise China-side work and exclusions

Request inspection, preparation, inland transport, export handling, documentation and port services with amounts or agreed pricing methods and validity. The price guide keeps vehicle value distinct from movement. Defined repairs, accessory correction or necessary tyres should not disappear inside an unexplained freight allowance. Avoid counting the same work twice under vehicle and shipment charges. A lower total can omit essentials that another quote includes. Keep conditional work and excluded costs visible. The buyer needs a usable responsibility and price boundary rather than an apparently precise number whose inspection, preparation or document scope cannot be reconciled with the actual candidate.

Obtain carrier acceptance for the actual systems and dimensions

Provide the vehicle’s accepted body, rear spare arrangement, accessories and energy-system information to the responsible agent. Use the shipping-method guide without asserting a universal acceptance or prohibition for every electrified vehicle. Ask what declarations and preparation apply to this petrol or plug-in car on the proposed service, and who provides them. Roof equipment or an extended body may change movement assumptions. Do not invent a state-of-charge instruction or treat generic SUV freight as carrier approval. Recheck material changes after preparation so an earlier acceptance answer is not transferred automatically to a different VIN, system or accessory package.

Review insurance and destination release independently

Identify policy provider, actual covered value, exclusions, excess and claims process with appropriate professional advice. CIF does not guarantee reimbursement for every prior defect or transport event. Preserve the dated pre-shipment record as evidence, not a promise of recovery. Obtain current local estimates for applicable taxes, release, agency charges, inland delivery and conformity or registration. The landed-cost file exposes those boundaries. Freight paid to a destination port is not automatically a road-ready vehicle at the buyer’s address. Two short insured lines may refer to different policies and should not be valued as equivalent without their actual scope.

Approve the complete route rather than the cheapest abbreviation

Align vehicle, preparation, movement, policy and destination readiness in one comparison, highlighting unresolved items and responsible parties. Use the import-versus-local review where another acquisition route may be clearer or better supported. Pause material unknown charges or acceptance conditions instead of absorbing them into an optimistic contingency. Have the agreement reviewed where risk or insurance wording affects the transaction. This guide does not supply applicable tax rates or enforceable rights for every jurisdiction. FOB or CIF can describe part of an arrangement, but neither replaces the identity, condition, document and commercial due diligence needed for one accepted T2.

Compare the acceptance conditions

Proceed when
Compare complete named-place responsibilities and the same accepted configuration, with actual carrier, policy and destination-cost answers retained.
Investigate when
Clarify omitted preparation or handling services before treating the lower trade-term total as an equivalent delivered-price saving.
Do not assume
Pause a material acceptance or insurance gap; a familiar abbreviation cannot substitute for the actual contract or professional scope confirmation.

Questions before you buy

Does CIF mean the T2 is ready to register and drive locally?

No. Confirm destination release, taxes, compliance, registration and delivery separately from freight and insurance.

Can one SUV freight quote approve an extended or plug-in T2?

No. Obtain actual carrier requirements for the configuration, energy system, service and included equipment.
