A buyer without dependable charging may operate a PHEV mostly as a heavy hybrid, while a buyer with daily charging may use very little petrol on short routes. High-speed travel, headwinds, low temperatures, all-terrain tyres, roof loads and off-road use can materially change consumption. Destination fuel grade, electricity price, public-network access and workshop support belong in the decision.

Build three realistic energy scenarios

Create three cases: ordinary week, longest recurring trip and an adverse case with poor weather or unavailable charging. State the required arrival reserve and identify refuelling or charging alternatives.
